JANUARY 2017....WELE YOUTH ENTREPRENEURIAL PROGRAM: 20-hour, four (4) part entrepreneurial, leadership development and educational program consisting of hands on activities, workshops, and training programs which culminate with planning, marketing, and operating a small business, the Wele Youth Farmers’ & Online Market. The market will be open on select weekends throughout the year as determined by the young entrepreneurs (SPONSORED BY DUKE ENERGY FOUNDATION, WALMART FOUNDATION, MASON G SMOAK FOUNDATION, LAKE PLACID NOON ROTARY, $500 INDIVIDUAL DONATION

Founder’s Day Celebration: Join us in fall of 2014 as we host a festival to celebrate the founding of our historic community. Food, fun, educational activities, music, art, and entertainment in this family oriented celebration.  We need OLD pictures of Highway Park...if you have any old photos or videos, please email them to us. Best pictures will go into our Founder's Day historical booklet and educational sessions.
